As we all know, this morning President Donald Trump visited Fox News’ Sean Hannity for an interview. And while the meeting of the two went well and was complimented by conservative supporters, it was the end of the interview, during which the president took a moment to pat the commentator on the back over his longtime support and high ratings in his new timeslot.
“I will say this, you have been so great,” Trump told Hannity, adding, “I’m very proud of you.” The commander-in-chief then went on to explain how, “I am a ratings person. Has anyone seen his ratings? What you are doing to your competition is incredible. Number one and I am very proud of you. An honor to be on your show.”
And while the POTUS’ remarks over Hannity’s skyrocketing ratings were completely true, this also served as an indirect shot at MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow, which had been leading the ratings of cable news before Hannity moved to the 9 PM slot, when Fox News completely switched up its lineup not long ago.
Now, it is no secret that hannity has been a huge vocal supporter of President Trump since the moment he announced his candidacy as well as agenda for office and chances are high that despite their friendly relations, the two will continue supporting each other for years to come, especially now that Trump is still into his first year of presidency.
And since the mainstream media isn’t likely to spread the word about the conservative host’s skyrocketing ratings, it is up to us to spread the word and show him our support.
