In a recent interview with CNN, Fox Sports Radio’s Clay Travis said something that really threw CNN off guard. “I’m a first amendment absolutist and believe in two things completely — the First Amendment and boobs,” said Travis. CNN’s Brooke Baldwin acted so ‘offended’ that she had to end the segment early.
You can make some arguments that it was not an appropriate comment to make. While some think it was funny or no big deal, some more sensitive people would argue that it was ‘sexist’. However, CNN contributor Tariq Nasheed, who defines himself as an “Anti-Racism Strategist” and a “Constitution Advocate- MLK Conservative,” argued that the comment showed that Travis was a white supremacist.
So what did Travis’s comment about the First Amendment and boobs have to do with race? That’s a good question! According to Nasheed, white supremacists try to use humor. And that’s about it. That proves it.
“That stunt that Clay Travis pulled on CNN is a tactic commonly used by white extremists .They will troll in order to get their numbers up,” tweeted Nasheed. The internet tore him apart for his moronic comment.
“I was just about to joke that liking boobs makes you a white supremacist, but someone beat me to it,” joked one user. “So appreciating the 1st Amendment and a good rack makes you a Nazi now? This guy,” tweeted another. “I had to check to make sure this wasn’t a parody account. It’s not,” tweeted another.
