Liberals have been expressing their dissatisfaction with Trump by protesting and blocking traffic on major roadways. On Saturday, one of these road-blocking protests jeopardized the life of a patient being transported my ambulance.
According to reports, around 200 protesters blocked traffic on Route 34 around 5 p.m. on Saturday as they marched and carried a banner that read, “No Ban No Wall New Haven.” Because of their protest, an ambulance carrying a critically ill patient couldn’t get through. The ambulance personnel were required to perform an emergency medical procedure in the ambulance instead of at the hospital.
One of the protesters didn’t wanna move even when police officers asked him to. The officers tried to guide him out of the way, but he pushed an officer and tried to get back.
The condition of the patient in question is not known right now. At least, some of the protester were arrested and they will be help accountable for what the mass did. New Haven Assistant Police Chief Tony Reyes told reporters:
“It’s happening. We have to be ready to deal with and try to do it in a way that balances our commitment to community policing while keeping our officers safe.”
