If you observe our political situation these days, the major differences between the two sides are very clear. For instance, the ever-so-tolerant liberals would to open their borders and allow everyone to come here freely, without any rules. On the other side, the Republicans’ plan is to strengthen the borders and increase the security in these hard times when terrorism is spouting.
And the moment when President Trump announced the building of the infamous border wall was the culmination point of the whole situation.
Even though he’s been more than 100 days in office, Trump still faces a serious threat from the anti-Trump liberals who attack every move he makes.
Several mayors declared their cities as “sanctuary cities” and said they will do their best to protect the illegal immigrants to be deported by the federal government. But probably not for long, as a Pennsylvania representative has just proposed a bill that will suspend all federal funding to state, country and local jurisdiction with sanctuary policies. For instance, if cities like Chicago and Los Angeles would want to keep their policies on sanctuary cities, from now on they will do it without federal funding.
“Not one cent will be given to these mayors, sheriffs, and state leaders are thumbing their noses at federal immigration law. The only way to stop them is to hit them in their pocketbooks,” stated Rep. Lou Barletta.
He added that despite their violation of the federal law, sanctuary jurisdictions leaders are in a way “bragging about it in press conferences.”
Chicago Mayor, Rahm Emanuel stated,
“Chicago always will be a sanctuary city. TO all those who are, after Tuesday’s election, very nervous and filled with anxiety … you are safe in Chicago, you are secure in Chicago and you and supported in Chicago.”
This statement is far from the truth. As we all know, Chicago is everything but a safe city. Last year it was an estimated number of 800 murders.
If citizens of the sanctuary cities don’t mind being robbed and murdered, let them have it. Let’s see how far they’ll go with their ‘open borders’ policy.
