And while the First Lady Melania Trump has her own long list of duties, her top priority is being a mom to her 11-year-old son Barron.
Melania considers the “motherhood” part of a woman’s life to be “the most important job ever,” and she said that she is a proud full-time mom that doesn’t employ nannies and takes Barron to school and picks him up by herself.
“I am a full-time mom; that is my first job. The most important job ever,” Melania told Parenting. “I cook him breakfast. Bring him to school. Pick him up. Prepare his lunch. I spend the afternoon with him.”
According to “the No. 1 parenting secret is that it is so important to have good listening skills,” she said.
She explained how she listens to everything Barron says, what troubles him and what he is excited about, and she guides and supports him afterward. She also stated that she doesn’t push her own thoughts, likes and dislikes on him, as she wants him to grow up and be his own person. She added that it is important to give children space to make mistakes and learn.
On the other hand, Barron has things going on for him too, and he is expected to enroll in the prestigious St. Andrew’s Episcopal School in suburban Maryland, according to reports. The school has a small number of students (580) which will be just right to provide Barron the privacy he needs at this point in his life.
